Ageing is a natural part of life, and it can’t be avoided. There are certain people who look older than their age. This is not a good sign as you are supposed to age better both inside and out. Beautiful skin starts from the inside. Our diet affects our day to day appearance and if we do not review your diet we may end up eating foods that will only make us unhealthy and also age us prematurely.
The right food not only does wonders for our waistline, builds our immune system it also gives our hair a glossy shine, strengthens our nails, smoothing wrinkles and generally makes us look and feel healthy. Include these foods in your diet, and be sure to look younger and feel healthier.
1. Sweet potatoes
Sweet potatoes can help you regain your glow. Sweet potato is rich in carotenoids and this is really good for the skin.
Watermelon can help bolster your daily dose of sunscreen.
Eggs can help to keep your nails strong and healthy.
This is one of my favorite “beauty food”. Avocado is really good for our skin, and it’s perfect for a face mask. They are high in oleic acid, an omega-9 fatty acid that helps skin retain moisture in the outer layer to keep it soft, plump and supple.
5. Extra virgin olive oil
Research as shown that olive oil can help prevent many common diseases associated with ageing. Olive oil also consists of monosaturated fat, which helps with skin elasticity and firmness.
6. Green Tea
Green tea is high in Polyphenols. This may also help protect collagen, the main protein in your skin. It may reduce and even partly reverse some signs of ageing.
7. Dark chocolate
Dark chocolate contains flavanol. This can help protect the skin against sun damage. it also improves skin hydration, thickness and smoothness.
Most vegetables are high in carotenoids like beta carotene. This helps protect the skin from sun damage.
Tomatoes are high in Lycopene. This antioxidant helps protect the skin from the damaging rays of the sun.
